The design studio SaEs Associates of the architect Nicola Esposito and of the engineer Gianluca P. Saginario operates mainly in the field of seismic structural design through the use of innovative technologies and in the restoration and conservative renovation of the architectural heritage. A special multi-year experience has been gained in the field of public works and monumental buildings, mainly in relation to the recovery and static restoration of masonry buildings. Among the most important and interesting works we report:
in Montemiletto (AV) the Restoration of the Church of San Pietro of the fifteenth century, the Restoration of the Church of Santa Maria Assunta of the fifteenth century and the Restoration of the Chapel of the Immaculate of the seventeenth century; in Montefusco (AV) the Restoration of the Church of San Giovanni del Vaglio of the fifteenth century and the restoration of the Church of Sant’Antonio Abate of the seventeenth century; in Pietradefusi (AV) the Restoration of the former Church of Santa Maria dell’Arco of the seventeenth century; in Sant’Angelo a Cupolo (BN) the Restoration of the Church of Saints Angelo and Leonardo of the seventeenth century, the Restoration of the Church of San Donato of the seventeenth century and the Restoration of the Church of Santa Maria di Costantinopoli of the eighteenth century; in San Giorgio la Molara (BN) the Restoration of the Church of Purgatory of the XVth century and the Restoration of the Church of the Libera della XVI.
The experience gained in the recovery of existing buildings through the use of innovative technologies finds wide and positive application in the recovery of buildings damaged by the earthquake, particularly in the territories of Molise, L’Aquila and more recently Emilia. The study and application of innovative technologies in the field of seismic isolation are perfectly combined with the peculiarities of the project for the recovery and restoration of the architectural heritage. Particular dedication is lavished in the recovery of the Italian historical architectural heritage, its villages and its historical constructive characteristics, with the intent of returning to the visitor places and buildings now abandoned in time. The rediscovery of the immense Italian architectural and cultural heritage contemplates and requires this type of interventions aimed at the recovery and safety of unique and inimitable beauties.
